The Snowman has been released on BluRay. Maybe the soundtrack is added as a bonus?
Unfortunately the film has been cropped from its original aspect ratio 4:3 to widescreen, with the top and the bottom of the scenes now missing.
The name of the song is Walking in the air. You can find many version of it.
shareAre the theme song "Walking In the Air", says music composed and conducted by Howard Blake, and "Royals", by Lorde, extremely similar on purpose? Are they connected in some way? Is it two versions of the same song? I couldn't make out the lyrics in the film song.
The similarities can't be a happenstance. Someone either ripped off someone else, or crediting the orginal artist credit isn't clear for either song.
Anyone has any thoughts or facts that I can't find online?
Just investigated a bit. I found and compared the lyrics to both songs. They are very different, but I still definitely think the musical score of both song are almost exactly the same.
So, my question now remains...
Was this a copy used by permission and just given different lyrics? Who originally wrote it? Are the two artists' versions even aware of the copying of the score?
I will not let this go until I find out the answer, whatever it turns out to be.
