I love the Shining TV movie. Mick Garris was very true to the novel.

Its my favourite book so I very much enjoyed the interpretation.

Im a horror fanatic and collector..love my horror movies. few scare the crap outta but but here they are:

1) Child's Play 1
2) Pet Semetary
3) Exorcist 3
4) Sleepaway Camp (primarily final1 10 minutes)
5) The Maid
6) The Grudge or Juon (original and remake were actually both good)
7) When a Stranger Calls (original) (first 20 minutes and final 20 minutes)
8) What Lies Beneath

There are others with creepy moments but these left a mark
