Do 18-year-olds throw slumber parties?

I don't know any 18-year-olds, and I don't know any Americans who were 18 in 1982. It felt kind of weird to me. Like the lobotomy that happens in Curtains, which came out in 1983.

If a 'slumber party' means staying overnight wearing lounge clothing and watching movies, playing games, drinking/smoking then I suppose "yes." And even older than 18 -- like college girls and adults.

Patty Duke was 20 when "Valley of the Dolls" was shot and she said she & her pals would occasionally have a stay-over for years afterward, partying and laughing at the movie. I'd call that a slumber party.

i'm guessing they really supposed to be 16, the audience is just told they are 18 so they can be naked. they were in high school right ?

Correct.

When I was in high school, my friends and I would have sleepovers. We'd mostly just eat pizza, play Guitar Hero, and stay up obscenely late.
