2.8?

This isn't that bad of a movie, is it? Sure, it's mediocre, but.... 2.8/10?

Surprisingly the movie was from 4.5 to 2.7 in only two or three days ...
Probably the most underrated slasher in IMDB, much better than crap like 1980's "Prom Night" (5/10 rating), "Sweet 16" (5.3), "The Initiation" (5.4) and much others "gems".
The 2.4 to "Humongous" is also a very negative exaggeration.

I guess people couldn't handle the slow pacing or the horrible ending. I actually liked this movie, I even ordered an independently released DVD of the film (due here any day now)

I could have gotten the original VHS (same with Humongous) but screwed up and missed my chance.

I agree. I thought it was more engaging than many of that era. (7 out of 10)

There are under-rated films, and then there are under-rated films... and The Slayer, folks, is an *UNDER-RATED* film. I can't believe it's not valued by the entire horror community - this movie is atmospheric, disturbing and damn violent; it lays to waste the majority of silly 'horror' movies also released in the '80s, and in my opinion is the best of its kind released during that embarrassing decade.

A friend of mine has an old VHS print of it, and i have the split VHS release with Scalps. =D Needless to say, i doubt I'll ever part with it!

The 80's had amazing slasher films. ALL of them are underrated on this website.
