Why no Sequel?

He was still alive at the end. He came up out of the water in the well right before the credits rolled. I wonder why there was never a sequel.

reply

I'm sure he died down there. The well was unescapable, unless somebody threw him a rope.

I highly doubt he could keep coming back after he drowned or starved to death.
A sequel would have been cool though.

Please refresh my memory. How did Chuck Norris get out of the well?

reply

he never fell completely into the well. He hung on the ledge and later crawled out to deliver deadly karate kicks to the killer, then dropping him down to a watery grave.

reply

When I was a kid I thought about why there wasn't a sequel. I always liked the movie and thought the end was great.

As a Norris fan, and a lover of the movie, I would have enjoyed seeing a sequel. Who knows, a sequel now? A re-make? One can never tell.

I think the movie is unique, and a sequel isn't really necessary.

We only give her two seconds of pain, while girls like her give us eighteen years of pain.

reply

The fact that he was almost unkillable screams sequal.
Although the fire would have killed him if that lake wasn't there.

I still want a sequel to this movie. It was such a great plot. He was the first human terminator.

I agree and SONNY CHIBA should be Chucks tag team partner in the movie. Total bloodfest.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out why he looks like a damn mutant when he pops out of the water... red eyes and all!

And what was his response??

I thought it was because Chuck said no. He typically doesn't do sequels as a rule.
