What a classic!!!

I loved this movie years ago when I was like 3 and I still love it now!! Got spider ninjas, samarais, and all!

yeah i like it, but the end was very unrealistic. when the guy turns around with the sword in his neck, the blood just fires out after a long time. realistically, it would ooze out quickly

Still this has got to be one of the very first martial arts movies in my memory. I recall watching this with my dad as a kid - and this was already an old movie by the time i saw it - but with that late 70's early 80s style jazz music playing to the fight scenes really got me hyped into martial arts and fighting.

I bought the DVD of it the other day and watch it again as the memories came flowing back. While it all looks corny as hell for today standards, I was totally mesmorized when see it as a kid. A lot of the effects are definately unrealistic, but it seemed very raw and gritty compared to today's martial arts movies. Not to mention with all the ninjas and stuff everwhere. Great great classic!

I love this movie. It is SO hilarious and action packed. The whoosh noises when he's swinging is gold. I also like how this movie is pretty long. A deleted scene in Kung Pow: Enter the Fist parodied this movie, where he was getting tortured and beaten in a prison.

Man I saw this movie when i was 15 years old back in 1987. It was the coolest!! You can't take it seriously with the crazy stunts, but it is a TON of fun. It WAS funny as hell too. I think this movie had alot of teenage & pre puberty boys climbing trees in their back yards lol!! I'm gonna buy the DVD because it's a classic. Not to mention it starred Henry Sanada(sp?) who played in The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. It also had the legendary Sonny Chiba. Another cool part of this film is that it actually was based on some true events that took place back in feudal Japan.

Man.... they really beat up Henry Sanada in the torture scene. Hah hah. Sonny Chiba grabbed his nuts and crushed them. Dayum.
