Question about the flower

When Percy is talking to the Countess de Tournay, she asks him about the flower. His answer is: "Nothing more than a humble
wayside flower, rather common in ..."

I can't understand the last word in the phrase. Rather common where? Can you help me?

And one more question. When Marguerite invites Percy to the party, she says: "My brother and I are having a small soiree at home in..."

The same problem: I just can't identify the name of the place. Please, help me to find it out!

Percy's line is "Rather common, in point of fact", and Marguerite lives on the Rue de Richelieu. I can hear the lines in my head, which is worrying.
