I have searched in vain...I wish the soundtrack was available on CD.

I like the theme music too. It reminds me of something else, but I can't think what it is.

If you've seen A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott as Ebeneezer Scrooge, it could be what you're thinking of. It's the same composer for both soundtracks. I always think of The Scarlet Pimpernel when I see A Christmas Carol. ^^

Yes--same composer, and same director, I believe? The opening to the two movies is almost identical in style: a bit of drama, then the music starts, and swells almost exactly the same into the opening credits. Both very well done movies. Two of my faves... :-)

BTW, anyone still following this thread--I did some searching and came across the composer's site: http://www.nickbicat.com/ I messaged him via the "contact" page, and he said he could send me a soundtrack. It's 18 pounds including shipping, which works out to $28 and change. He billed me via Paypal, and things are looking good. I'm loving the internet. ;-)
