Anyone out there think this movie is a hidden-if somewhat flawed gem?
It pre-dates Blue Velvet but has many similar themes:- evil lurking amongst a small town setting,adolescent love,quirky character play; its a fantastic little tale...
Is this film scary? Would you happen to know where I could get ahold of this, or possibly download it?

Just watched this quirky little treasure again.
Kept reminding me of Twin Peaks, with its seemingly ordinary little town, peopled with a plethora of eccentrics, weirdos and supposedly normal folk.
As with Twin Peaks, teenage hormones abound, and underneath the everyday façade, a nasty atmosphere of simmering evil.
Great little film.
I'm a bit confused with the overall story, but I did enjoy it. A very nice coming of age movie.
