This movie never seems to be shown on cable/satellite channels. Tbs, Tnt, Usa, etc. I wonder why that is?

I wonder that, too. This was a favorite at my house when I was little.
I think once in every five years they show it on some cable network.Let's face it, this film it not a popular as other movies of its time.It's a little underated I think.

They used to show it on cable...oh, about 20 years ago. This was one of my favorite movies when I was six or seven. I wonder if I'd still like it now?
shareTV show a whole lot more movies that are clean but crap movies which some should have never been made. The last time I can remember the movie being on TV was on WGN i am 24 now and I can vaguley remember seeing it twice. The first two times that I saw the movie for many years until I got one of many release copy of the DVD.
Seem it was one some channel awhile back. This movie is like Christmas Comes to Willow Creek with Tom Wopat and John Schider I haven't seen that movie in years in which I can remember WGN playing it also as well
Maybe it's too sweet and clean according to today's standards? No real violence, a couple of cuss words...pretty tame in comparison.

The rampant pedophilism is the main cause for this movie not to air...despite it not being remotely similar. However, a cute little girl that finds "nice" criminals and lives with them, is just something that isn't innocent in the 21st century as it was in the early 1980s.
I do like the movie, so don't call me a hater. It's just, there is no way this movie with 2 grown men, criminals at that, take up with a adorable little girl, be shown on television networks anymore.

MOST kid films are not based in any form of reality. The 'real' world is a tough, cold place, do you really want to teach preschoolers or young children THOSE lessons? I know I don't. MOST children will never meet, let alone be molested by, a pedophile. Take the 'Home Alone' films, for instance, think THOSE are any better than this film? Hey, maybe the Joe Pesci and Daniel Sterns characters were after MaCaulay Culkin to use him as a 'sex toy'...

I always found the movie a little creepy myself. Young girl with two ex cons. Weird premise for a movie. I guess most parents were too stupid to realize how creepy it was, idyllic 80s or not.

That was a LIE cooked up by Jeraldo Rivera to garner interest in his show. That was ALL hype, don't believe the lies. My people weren't the ones doing the sacrificing, although many DID deserve to be sacrificed. There's not one proof positive case Jeraldo, & his followers could come up with.
Jeraldo SHOULD be sacrificed though for all of his lies, & sensationalism
about something that wasn't even occuring.
