Shouldn't that have gotten him stripped of the title considering his actions, even if he didn't intend to kill Mickey, lead to his death? Surely one of Rocky's cornermen could've come in and let everyone know what Clubber had done?

2. What were they gonna do, charge him with murder? You'd have no movie.
It could be considered manslaughter. If you do the wrong thing and it results in someone’s death you can still be charged. A drunk driver running someone over didn’t mean to kill the person but they still are responsible
