Missed opportunity=Mr. T and Carl Weathers starring in a movie together?

Both Mr. T and Carl Weathers were two extremely charismatic, masculine black men, who were at their respective peaks during the '80s (besides the Rocky franchise, T with The A-Team and his Saturday morning cartoon and Weathers with Predator and Action Jackson). I kind of figured that they could've easily done their own buddy action movie a la Tango and Cash, 48HRs or Lethal Weapon. We really wouldn't see that type of movie (i.e. two black guys on equal footing as action heroes in a top-tier Hollywood action movie) until Bad Boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. But maybe something like a T-Weathers team-up movie would've been too ahead of its time.
