Why did Clubber hate Apollo?

I never understood that bit. Clubber and Drago are my favorite Rocky villains. I just don't understand what Clubber had against Apollo.

To Clubber Apollo was a has-been..he even mentions that in the first fight when apollo tries to wish him luck

I don't think he hated Apollo as an individual, he just reacted angrily towards everybody. If Mahatma Gandhi had wished Clubber good luck, Clubber would probably still tell him to get bent.

Because rocky beat him. What happened after Apollo lost th3 2nd fight?? He never faught again? Why didn't clubber fight Apollo on his rise to #1?

Clubber didn't like Apollo cause he lost to Rocky. He thus considered Apollo a bum because Apollo was a brother who lost to some Italian guy with a common name of "Rocky"

well, narratively speaking, this serves to ingratiate the movie-going audience with the Apollo character, whom up until this point in the series, was a villain.

the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Thats the true 'why'. But within the context of the fictional characters? who knows? Clubber was such an individual, he didn't want to pal around with anyone...
