this movie gave me a bizarre fascination and interest for in and by leather
the next movie I watched was the wild one with marlon brando
and the next movie scorpio rising
and the next movie pink narcissus

so here I am years later
and it's all thanks to fassbinder's Querelle
what a great film is this
what a precious picture
what a satire
what a erotic dark humour

I was just interested
are there any others like me
that are into leather thanks to Querelle?
or is it just me?

I haven't read the book
should I?
will it take my admiration to a new level of satisfaction and leather?

Yes, read the book, it is a great tale about criminals living on the fringe of society, filled with dark sex, drugs, prison tales and murderers. I was always fascinated with S&M and the leather/bondage scene, this film reinforced my feelings. If you are interested in this type of thing, i recommend tracking down the film "The Loveless" from 1982, with Willem Dafoe. If you like the style and themes of "Querelle" than you will like this one too. Thanks for the post..

Just recentl we had Max Mosley, president of the FIA, a most prestigious position, revealed as a aficionado of S&M. The public outrage however, has not been sufficient to dislodge him from his post.

thanks a lot
I'm really going to check 'The Loveless' out
now I'm also trying to get to see 'Love is the Devil' about Francis Bacon and S&M
I saw the trailer and I'm simply in love with the theme
