This film looks as slapdash and cut-and-paste as they come (that's compliment), but I found the aerial photography simply breathtaking. A very pleasant surprise in a Larry Cohen film, but then again, his films always have pleasant surprises because I lower my expectations (that's another compliment, more or less).

I´d go as far as stating that is a near-perfect low budget actioner. Excellent acting and gorgeous ´terrestrial´ photography (Fred Murphy, from SCENES FROM A MALL, kicks ass)
Yes, the aerial shots were the best part of this rather mediocre movie. These shots created great tension. They should have exploited such shots more and complement them with street-level shots about people noticing the monster flying above and being amazed.
