so.. what in the world did they do to snitter? like, i know they did something to his brain, and i heard the one guy explain it but my mom happened to be talking at that exact moment so i couldn't hear what all he said. so what happened to snitter? to make him see *beep* and hear bees buzzing?

They explain it more thoroughly in the book. In the part where Digby Driver & Mr. Powell go to the pub. I'd type it all but it's a rather long explanation O_O But I reccomend reading that part if you'd like to understand it better ^_^
