Where did you find Plague Dogs

I was lucky enough to have come across it in the DVD section of my library. They have a great selection, even a few movies Blockbuster doesn't have.

Where did you come across Plague Dogs when you first saw it?

Master of Puppets- one of the best albums of all time.

I first saw this powerful and remarkable movie after I rented it on VHS back in the late 80's.

I heard it mentioned in the Watership Down board on this site, and became curious. I then spent ages tracking down the DVD (I read the book first, after a friend bought it for me :) ), which definitely turned out to be worth the effort IMO!

I watched the uncut version on Youtube, then ordered the (edited) DVD from a video store. It's a magnificent movie in both versions, and the quality's good, but the cut just can't compare with the original.

I first saw this film back in the late 80s, I was about four or five and my parents rented it from a little mom and pop corner store that was a grocery/general store and the only place in town to rent movies. At that point I had still not seen Watership Down or anything quite like this movie. It had a profound and lasting impact on me and the story and images haunted me, but in the best possible way. Then I never saw it again. Not on TV, no one really talks about it, after a while I couldn't even remember the name of the film and after a few decades I started to question whether I ever really saw it at all. But so many visuals stuck with me from that film. I'm 24 now and finally today I stumbled across Plague Dogs here on IMDB. You can't imagine how excited I was to finally learn the name of this movie. Needless to say, I ordered the DVD from amazon five minutes ago and can't wait to watch this movie again.

I was born and grew up where this story was set, and the book was published a year after I was born. I remember the first time I saw this film I was still very young, and it was very strange to me as a youngster to see places I knew in an animated film - for example, the Black Bull pub in Coniston, where my dad spent a fair few evenings :)

Anyway, it was my dad that rented the movie way back in the early 80s, so that's how I found it.

I found it on YouTube, I must admit. >_< But, the reason that I looked it up was that I'd heard of the story and wanted to see it. Boy, was it worth it...rough, but worth it.

Read a late edition of the book! It'll mend your heart.

I watched it on VHS tape from Thorn EMI in the 80's and the film had a massive impact on me, as it still does today.
It's an incredible film.
