Anyone else find it funny that in Little Darlings they put on a play with song and dance from Pirates of Penzance and then 2yrs later Kristy McNichol was in "The Pirate Movie" which is a spoof and has the same song...

Stranger even is that by the time Kristy was doing this, Tatum was dating one of the pirates themselves, Rex Smith, who was doing PoP on Broadway at the time and about to star in a film adaptation. Crazy!

(Cont.) As it happens, the actor who took on the Rex Smith role in the L.A. run of the play is none other than Bee Gees sibling Andy Gibb, who just happens to be namedropped by the girls in Darlings' opening bus scene.
