I think my parents let me watch this at way too young. I just realized this morning that it was probably my first exposure to homosexuals too. ahhh the innocence of youth...

Same here!!!

This and the Rocky Horror Picture Show severely contributed to my sexual knowledge as a child, but i still adore both movies!
Thanks mum and dad!

I love this movie for everything... the humor, the great music, the love story, all of it!

LMFAO! Yeah I was too young to get all the references and its only been a couple of years since I finally put 2 & 2 together! haha!

I've loved this movie for as long as i can remember, and watching it as an adult (and finally understand all the sexual humour) has only made me appreciate it more.

My favourite line "The ladies yield and the ships go down, or is it the other way around?".

I just finished watching it for the first time in like 14 years. so like half my lifetime...i couldn't believe how much stuff I still hadn't caught at that point.

way way WAY too young....

"Oh, I am, I am, and very well, thank you!"

Hehehe.

I feel sorry for my mother, having to explain all that to me...

I love that two of the pirates get married. Someone should make John Howard watch this.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by

No kidding! I liked the scene when Mabel and Frederic kissed for the 1st time and you could see that Chris Atkins was frenching her! I was like maybe 10 or so the first time I saw it (not in the theatres) and thought he was so hott!! But, I also thought he was way cute when I saw him at a younger age in The Blue Lagoon! So he definitely helped form my taste in men at a young age!

Yeah, I didn't remember and/or (probably and) didn't get at the time, all the innuendos. I watched it at about age 10, too, on cable in the early/mid 80s. (I know it was before 1985) When I recently watched it, I couldn't believe that it was just that suggestive. LOL.

Sounds like house party.

a) I feel so OLD !! I was already 36 when this movie released.

b) I like your User-ID. A reference to Coleridge and "Xanadu"?
In Xanadu did Kublai Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree,
Where Alph, the sacred river ran,
Through caverns measureless to man,
Down to a sunless sea.

(Aren't you glad I can't remember more of it?)
