Watched it for the first time

I'm 46 years old and finally watched The Wall for the first time.
I have to say I've never been a huge Pink Floyd fan and really only knew the song Another Brick in the Wall. But I instantly liked a lot of songs I've never heard before and added them to my Apple Music
But as far as the film goes? I don't know it just seemed like a 90 minute music video to me. And s bit pretentious. As if the writer/director was trying too hard to make a weird cult film. Let's make something avant garde!
I can't say I was ever bored by it. Visually it was interesting. But I don't know that I'd watch again.
I guess more importantly I'm a middle aged guy who just discovered Pink Floyd! I'm interested to dig deeper and find more. I heard they did an album called Dark Side of the Moon that's supposed to be decent... Lol (not kidding I don't know but one song on that album)

Id say check out Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall. All four are masterpieces. The movie will probably take repeat viewings to really appreciate. It's more than a 90 minute music video I promise.

You might not think you know any songs from DSotM but you have probably heard a couple from telly, radio at some point. You'll hear a tune and go 'Oh- I know know this!'
