Filming location of track stadium with CAL POLY signage?

There are a few scenes where we see Scott Glenn sitting in the grandstand with CAL POLY signage above him as he is drinking Coors beer watching Mariel Hemingway run. Where was that scene shot? Cal Poly SLO never had a track like that with a grandstand. The Cal Poly football field never had a track on it with running lanes. I attended the school in 1982 and I don't believe these scenes were shot on campus. I think they were shot somewhere else and the signage was faked in to make it look like Cal Poly. The IMDB page says that scenes were shot at Morro Bay High School. I can tell that is true for some of the scenes where they are running around on grass. But, the scenes with the grandstand do not look anything like the Morro Bay football and track field. Did they shoot scenes at other locations as stand-ins? Maybe in Southern California? I recognize that location. I feel like I've been there but I am pretty sure it is not Cal Poly or Morro Bay.

Update: figured it out. It was Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.
