I know this is gonna sound like a really old question that people always ask about actors when they play gay roles, but, i'm going to ask anyway (lol). Does anyone know if Patrice is a lesbian in real life?
Also, why didn't she pursue acting? She was great in 'Personal Best'.

She was a real life track star with a one-hit wonder. I don't think she ever wanted to pursue acting unless it had a sports theme because that was where her passion lied - track and field.

That's surprising and unfortunate that Patrice didn't pursue acting, because I think her performance is a lot stronger than Mariel Hemingway's here. But she's also very convincing as an athlete.

I read online somewhere that she was openly bi-sexual and is married and has a son, somewhere in Colorado or something like that.

Just watched the movie for the first time and loved it. always been a fan of Mariel but Patrice did really well in this movie!!
