Only Reagion 1 DVD

Why is there only a region 1 DVD available of this title? Folks outside the almighty North America would like to see it too, preferebly without having to import a DVD player from there (as if we didn't already). After all, it is a German (reg2) film! Something is rotten in this globalization thing...
