How the heck did they come up with a little hut furnished in the middle of a desert? They had beds with matresses, pillows, the big swing, pots & pans, lots of clothes for her plus some jewelry. They had nothing when they fled. There is no way the camel could of carried all this - plus them. It was unrealistic. I also thought Willie Ames was a odd choice for this film. And Pheobe Cates breasts look so much different in this film than in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" that I suspect it was two completely different women. Does anyone know for sure if she used a body double in Paradise?

I don't know about a body double, but I was actually wondering the same thing- if that was actually her body. I'm pretty sure it's not, because on different things I've seen and read about Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the director always noted how nervous she was about shooting that scene because she wasn't comfortable with nudity. And I believe this was filmed before Fast Times, so it must have been a body double.

I also rolled my eyes when I saw the glider/bench. At least in the Blue Lagoon they built their hut a little more gradually- but they pretty much just moved right into a fully furnished home!

I think Pheobe Cates use a body double in this movie. From Imbd.com, it stated her birthday was 1963 and the movie was copyrighted in 1981 according to the end title of the movie so the movie was maybe filmed in 1980 which makes her only 17 years old.

I didn't see "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" but I have seen many "B" movies and both ends of legality of porn. So it's my semi-intuitive opinion that the scene of her with her top down by the pool of water was her or a close double, though probably the former because there was no direct nudity. Note her size of breasts in this scene is continous with her earlier "in the movie" size. The later sex scene shows much bigger and more ample breasts not really seen anywhere else in the movie. The pool of water scene says to me "17" as "vghb95a" indicated as possible above. The sex scene seems to convey a "20-27" year old porn type model. But that's just my two pieces of eight.
