Fimed at my school!!

Would love to this again.

Was filmed at my school in the 80's and some of the older kids were even extrsa.

Meant we couldnt us the main field for weeks and had old dim lights for a while in class.

However we did get new curtains for the hall and kept the cricket sight too!

Also watch out for one scene where they walk down an alley to go home (i used to walk down same one) and at bottom of the alley just above the ad hordings you can see the top deck of a modern double decker bus!!!!!

Did they shoot in the classrooms and in the head's office or just the exterior scenes at the school? - must have been exciting having a film crew at your school - how long were they there? did the kids who they used for extras get paid?

reply

I noticed the top deck of a "square" double decker bus which is probably a '70s DM. Additionally, a post-1964 Worboys "No cycling" sign can be seen in the background leading towards the alley.

P'tang, Yang, Kipperbang is on tonight (Saturday 14th February) on Film Four at 7.25pm.

And the current head teacher can be seen in one scene in the main hall telling the children to 'shush'. Wonder if that was enough for her to be paid!
