Parker294, you're one lucky bastard!
Abandon all hope ye who enters here
-Dante's Divine Comedy
Yeah, the songs in this movie are great! 'I dream of home...' I always wondered if they were new ones written for the English version, or translations of Japanese songs.
The songs were written by Sammy Cahn of Frank Sinatra fame, with Jo Hisaishi of Studio Ghibli fame composed/conducting the score.
shareI have the movie too, its all scratchy. I wan't to put the music on my I-Pod.
shareis one called searchin for a dream
share"Searching for a Dream" was performed by the Parachute Club for the 1987 series that aired on HBO. The songs performed in this version are "Strictly Up to You", "I Dream of Home", and "Wizard of a Day". If anyone has made mp3s of the songs, please give us a ring here. Thanks.
shareCould someone post the lyrics of Strictly up to You? I only remember a little bit of the beginning. It went something like It's all true. All my dreams are here from me to you. No one else knows what I just knew.

I have wondered about the lyrics to strictly up to you forever LOL as a kid it sounded like"You'll find it's strictly up to you...take your dreams, and make your dreams come truuuuuuuue..anta roo(lol auntie roo? wtf?) no one else beleives what I just knew..and now it's all come true" LOL I really don't think that is how it goes hahah~
shareI see there was written almost a year ago. I may be able to get the songs. Someone write back, and I'll see what I can do.
shareI believe I was the one requesting the MP3 files, for both versions of "Strictly Up To You" during the opening and ending credits, both versions of "A Wizard of a Day", "I Dream of Home", plus the instrumental queues by Joe Hisaishi like when the house is borne aloft to Oz. Thanks.
shareI'm deffinatly interested in the lyrics LOL to it's Strictly Up To You
shareIt's all true
All my dreams are here for me to view
No one else believed what I just knew
And now it's all come true
They will say you're a dreamer
A dreamer is what you are
The kind who'll find a wishing star
If you have hopes to count on
You're hopes are not in vain
'Cos you can count on rainbows without rain
You'll find it's strictly up to you
Take your dream and make your dream come true
Up to you
There are butterflies you can pursue
And they'll be yours if you want them to
It's strictly up to you
It's all true
All my dreams are here for me to view
No one else believed what I just knew
And now it's all come true
ahhh thank you! I've wondered about it for so long!

I look forward to that - thanks wic05
shareI know I'm late, but Could you post the lyrics of "Wizard of the Day"? I like that song and I think I get the jist of it. (It's a celebration from killing the witch) But I never could figure out some of the lyrics. Especially the beginning.
shareHere we go cuz you know
It's a wizard of a day!
Feast your eyes on those skies
It's a wizard of a day!
Every heart is singing "yes"
and every spirit's free.
Every bird is singing me a melody!
Fish swim in formation like they have all rehearsed.
Seems like all creation knows it's June the first
The world for you and me is simply heavenly!
Bright as Christmas dishes, delicious wizard of a day!
Tra la la, oom pa pa
It's a wizard of a day!
Oh, what fun
Walk, skip, run.
It's a Wizard of a day!
Don't eva let nobody tell you you ain't strong enough
