Banal Beginning, but...


It picked up considerately when the "dream lovers" sequences were introduced.
This was NOT a realistic movie. It's a lot more impressive when you realize that the whole film was shot on a soundstage; if you thought it was shot on location then it was easy to miss the artistry involved.
I was great to see Frederic Forrest, and especially Teri Garr, get a chance to shine at least once in their careers.

I liked it. Gave it an 8.

PS Why didn't this win an Oscar for Art Direction?
