just saw this movie on tv recently (spoilers)

I hadn't seen it for a while, I really enjoyed it.

gere does a great job as does gossett Jr.

the ending scene while cheesy makes the movie as does the fight with Foley and mayo.

i personally hated the town bar scene, the girls paraded around their men to the local drunks who of course tried to get tough and got beat down. I just thought it seemed dumb only a reason for gere to get in a fight.

otherwise, I liked the premise of the movie. Gere heals some emotional wounds learns to play nice with others and falls for a
girl in fairy tale like fashion.
