I had to look up the lyrics online. It is "Love lift us up where we belong."

Sorry, but it sounds like, "The lift is up where we belong."

I thought I missed the scene where they went skiing.

Great song, but come on.

Yeah, there's actually some great skiing to be had in Washington State, where this movie was filmed, so maybe that lyrics was no accident?

It's kind of a famous song. Didn't it win the Oscar?

It did win an Oscar, as well as a Golden Globe and a Grammy. Shockingly, it beat out "Eye of the Tiger" at the Academy Awards.
