Meredith Modess the model

"Meredith Modess (the pantyhose high-fashion model), she took the 'pant' out of pantyhose!"

That was one of the taglines describing a character in National Lampoon's Class Reunion (1982). I left the theater afterwards shrugging my shoulders. I didn't know what this movie aspired to, satire, black comedy, a movie that couldn't decide whether to be a teen slasher flick typical of its time period, or a comedy, or both? It's one of those movies I never had the desire to watch a second time.

I was disappointed that more wasn't done with the character, Meredith Modess, played by actress Shelley Smith. Since the movie played her up as a successful, well-known high-fashion pantyhose model, I thought the movie might take advantage of that angle by showing t & a of her. Hey, I was much younger when I saw this bomb. Much to my disappointment, nothing. I didn't even get to see anything about Meredith Modess' pantyhose. The movie failed miserably on that angle.
