Surprisingly high number of sex scenes (spoilers)

In a movie supposedly about the hard life of the impoverished, there sure are a lot of scenes of amorous activities than one would expect. The elder son had two scenes with his wife. The second son had scenes with a neighbor's wife, an old lady set up by his mother, and a, um, a dog. The elder grandson had a couple of scenes with his girlfriend. There may be more, too. The climactic, lengthy mountain scenes were truly masterful, which is all that matters I guess.
