Whatever happened to her? I saw her in PENNIES IN HEAVEN and in this movie and never saw her again.

shareI don't remember the whole story offhand, but I have a book about Dario Argento and they did a lengthy interview with Harper (she of course had starred in Argento's Suspiria). Harper retired from acting and is now a singer and children's writer, IIRC. She isn't completely retired, she's been in a few movies over the years (most recently Minority Report) but she's focused on other things now. It's a shame too, I think she's quite pretty and not a bad actress.

shareThis flick is on TV as I type this. I was wondering why I hadn't heard of this Laura San-Giacomo movie..to my surprise, it wasn't her at all! I think it was Jessica Harper-could be wrong though (i only caught the scene where Mark Linn-Baker & her were having Chinese takeout). Is that Jess? If it is then My God, she's the spitting image of LSG right down to the voice.
shareYes, she does resemble Laura San-Giacomo, though she looks even more like Karen Allen or Brooke Adams in my book. Of course, I was weened on Jessica Harper since she made "Phantom of the Paradise," so to me there's no confusion. She's a delightful actress, and still works occasionally in film though devotes more time to drawing and singing for children, as well as maintaining her Blah Blah Blog.
