Favorite Character other than Peter O'Toole

Who was your favorite character other than Peter O'Toole? My has to be Joseph Bologna who was GREAT as King Kaiser. Would not have been the same movie without him.

"Did you say that Carl? What a guy"!...King Kaiser

Hard to argue with Bologna, but I really liked Adolph Green as Leo, the producer (or director---I was never sure) who constantly has to calm down Bologna. His hopeful, big grin, despite the chaos, really cracked me up.

Apart from Peter O'Toole, I think it's the small parts that really make this movie shine. I love the Alice-Herb duo. Selma Diamond is also hilarious, especially the look she gives Swann after his "for ladies only" rejoinder.

It's too hard to choose just one - they were all great!

Lanie Kazan as "Belle". Her line "Welcome to our humble chapeau" still makes me crack up. Her response when Alan asks what should he call her, Belle replies "How about yours?" Excellent movie & again Peter O'Toole should have won Best Actor. Beautiful man.
Was lucky enough to see him in Pygmalion in NYC & get his autograph but I lost it in Hurricane Katrina. Good memories.

I was gonna say, yeah, Joseph.

He was kind of an intentional scene-stealer, which means the character is a sort of outgoing ambiguous guy that was meant to light up the film, but he took even that a few steps beyond and really was good in this, maybe his best role.
