Movie running time - DVD cut or uncut

Hi there!

I'm hoping someone can assist me on this one. I've just bought the spanish releases of several Jean Rollin's movies but I'm unsure of the uncut status of the DVD's. All the nudity and gore seem to be there but I've searched the net and it got even more confusing for it seems that almost all releases have different running times. I guess that for some of them the indicated time may not be accurate...

So, if anyone possesses the DVD's I'd like to have your comparisons on the running time - the following are in the PAL system so it should be 4% shorter than the NTSC system.

My DVD's have the following duration:

«Le Viol du Vampire» - 90 min 46 s

«La Vampire Nue» - 81 min 18 s

«Frisson des Vampires» - 91 min 39 s

«Réquiem pour un Vampire» - 86 min 50 s (well, actually it reads 88 minutes, but the print seems to be the one from Redemption films - and the Redemption annoucement lasts for 1 min 10 s)

«Fascination» - 78 min 26 s

«La Morte Vivante» - 86 min 09 s

Some of these are shorter but others are longer than releases that are supposed to be uncut versions. If anyone is certain about this topic I'd appreciate very much their assistance.

Thanks!

I dont know if this helps, but I found the film on-line. The run time is 1hr 31 mins.

It states "One of cult director Jean Rollin's most successful and commercial films. Cut to bits by Britain's state censors, this is the full version. The Living Dead Girl takes in resurrection, despair and a desperate addiction to blood. A dark, beautiful and tragic film, presented here in all its gore filled glory."

But it has the "Redemption" video cover.(??)

Here is the link to the film...

Thanks a lot. Probably they are using the Redemption (Image Ent.) NTSC R0 copy...

I can only help you with those I have seen or own, but the running time of "La Morte Vivante", "Requiem pour un vampire" and "Fascination" looks correct and are more or less the same as my versions (3 disc Encore Limited Ed.).

Thanks. And I already confirmed it on a spanish site - it seems that the prints used are the ones that Eurociné released for all editions so they're uncut (except for the UK - cut by the BBFC).

Oh... And hooray for The Obsessed

Well... Actually I was in a different *erm* mind bender, but yeah - these movies improve from psychotropics (Psychothronic? Anybody?).
One thing about the movie feeling very long is that it's mood is really doooomy. Like Saint Vitus (Metal band)...

I have the Redemption Edition and it is 91 minutes. Rollin's low budget gore and French nude women seem to be intact.
