Did Chris Reeve's character know his friend would be murdered? At the very end, Chris has a knowing look on his face that suggests that he was aware this would happen. Am I just reading too much into it?

shareMy gut tells me he thought he would be safe. I think the sad look on his face had to do with knowing his friend probably had the money in the hotel room.
