He also used her full name, "Elizabeth", both when he was on the phone with her and at least once when he's talking with Beth. He also says it when he asks Terry to send a letter addressed to her upon Terry's return to the US. (I guess he wants Terry just to put it in the US Mail and not have her deliver it in person; he at least at that point no longer trusts the Chilean postal service to get it out without tampering or just losing it, although I think it may have been before he saw the phones getting tapped).
