Hi I just bought the vhs off of ebay could anyone tell me it this movie was legally put on VHS in Canada? I can't find it anyway on the internet saying that it was in VHS in the US. The tape I got from ebay was a blank tape that they recorded Melanie on it... Did I get ripped off???

This is an old post, but I thought I would reply to it just in case.
I bought a copy of this movie off of Ebay several years ago; I had been looking for it for awhile. It has been out of print (or whatever you call it)for a long time, but it was once released in the US. The copy I purchased was expensive and the condition fair, but to me it was worth it just to get a copy. I've seen the poster for this movie going for $25.
The movie was released in the United States by Vestron Home Video around 1983, and it's long out-of-print. It does come up for sale on eBay from time to time, but beware there are many, many bootlegs.
