That's awesome, I'm checking this movie out too just because I saw the Matt and Trey thing on season 2 South Park! Hilarious!!

Plus, The review by Trevor K totally sounds like something that Trey Parker would write

What did they say about it?

reply

they said this was a sweet movie and they should have done an episode about this :D

reply

Lol yah I just saw that too, I'm pretty sure they were probably being sarcastic though.

reply

Same, south park is my bible lol.

THEYRE COMIN RIGHT FOR US!!

reply

Dude, they should've done Megaforce. That would've been awesome :)

reply

They remade Megaforce as Team America though, didnt they?

reply

That would explain Team America :P

TA was inspired by Thunderbirds (original series, not that POS movie)

Anyway, I'm sure elements of MegaForce trickled in though I haven't seen the film since '82 (when I was like 12) I still have fond memories of it.

8 out fo 10 for the cool gadgets adn Perseus Khambata!!!! (she was soo hot, too bad she died young, at least she did ST TMP first).

reply

TA:WP was inspired by many things - the aircraft and puppetry by Thunderbirds, but lots of other things thrown into the mix, too - including elements from Megaforce (e.g. the flying motorcycle, meeting the specialists in the secret underground base).

Parker & Stone (like me) are exactly the right age to have seen & loved this film in the theater as impressionable 10 & 12-year-old boys. And I don't think they ever lost their love of over-the-top cheese - given what they themselves produce!

reply

In the dvd commentary of Team America: World Police, they mention that Megaforce was a big influence. Its the reason I found out about this movie.

reply

That's really funny! I'd bet the makers of this film never thought this movie would be in the cultural stream this long after it's release!
