Anyone remembers the movie's huge marketing campaign?

I heard the ads for this movie were all over the place at the time and the selling point in the previews was the never before seen amazing special effects and weapon designs?

I remember a few tv spots for the film; but, it wasn't
all over the place;" at least, not in my neck of the woods. I remember ads in comic books, more than anything else.

Yep, I remember the hype. The "real missiles used" that the media were falling all over themselves talking about turned out to be nothing more than overblown bottle rockets.

Yeah, like grendelkhan my strongest memories of it are ads in comic books. One for the film, and another for joining the Megaforce fan club, where the ad (in)famously asked "Are you man enough for Megaforce?". Probably couldn't get away with that in today's PC climate. Apparently being "man enough" included being able to sport a spandex jumpsuit and a lavender headband.

I remember the two tied in singles by the band 707. This is what happens when you let a Chinese studio make films for the Western market.

When I saw the film as a kid I was embarrassed even though I was the only person in the room.
