Say what you will but

I actually love this movie. There is definitely some 80s cheese to it, with some of the acting and costumed characters. but all things concidered for the time it was made I think it's pretty well done. I mean you could sit down and anaylize every minute of it and say it sucks by today's standards and point out every little thing wrong with it or you can take it at face value and enjoy it for what it is. A movie ment to examine the effect of an addicting RPG game on someone who is mentally ill.( they don't address it but Robbie is obviously schizophrenic, his brother running away causing his first psychotic break) I will say though the soundtrack for me was a huge WTF moment, as the songs did not really fit the mood of the film. But other then that I liked it a lot.

Funnily, I have come to realize that movies from the eighties are basically the only movies I can stand nowadays. Oh, and of course also movies older than that, too.
As an exact opposite, the "modern" productions of today are merely breathtakingly bad. They are crappy, immoral and utterly depraved, while the mentioned older movies are instead generally both a pleasure to watch as well as usually also comprehensible. And best of all, the viewer do not risk ending up with a headace and a bad mood for no other reson than having watched them. 

So, definitely eigthies movies for ever.

I agree 100%. Today's films are for the most part completely terrible CGI love fests. They do typically give me headaches as well. Too much scene cutting much too quickly. There are exceptions of course, but give me the films of the 80s (especially the early '80s) over most of this trite made today.

Conquer your fear, and I promise you, you will conquer death.

Toy Story 2 is immoral and utterly depraved. Whereas Nine and a Half Weeks is fun for all the family. Lunatic.
