Kirk Douglas/Spur's Leg
How the heck did he pull off the 'one legged' part of Spur? Is he double jointed, I can't see a his foot.
shareEasy. For the closeups of Spur's pantleg showing the peg, Douglas wore a shoe with a six inch peg on his right foot, and a shoe with a very tall heel on his good foot.
He covered both with extra long loose fitting pants with baggy legs.
If he had been filmed full length next to others Spur would have looked at least six inches taller. The director avoided that by not showing Spur and his peg leg with others in the frame.
That's how I would have done it.
I thought of that too, and came up with the same answer.
