Part of a series.

I've always wondered what happened to the rest of these plays. Because as I recall, this was one of about half a dozen shown on Sunday nights BITD as it were. For obvious reasons, this one stood out among the rest. I recall one play was called RHINO (really here in name only) and was about a chubby black girl, who kept bunking off school. And another of the plays, featured the late James Hazeldine, I think it was called One Summer, and two runaway teenagers arrives at his cottage in the country one day. I think he was a former school teacher or summat, and he lets them stay. For a while.

Anyone remember the rest?

It was a 4 part series made by Central Television in 1982. David Leland was commissioned to write 4 separate dramas about the state of education in the UK at the time. They are all available now as a box set called: Tales Out Of School. The One Summer drama you mentioned was not part of it and was written by Willy Russell.
