Q about the two sports scenes

The first sports scene involves four large teams scrambling up a pyramid to grab a football that they then toss around.

The second sports scene involves playing a soccer-like game with a shuttlecock, needing to juggling it in the air at all times.

My question is: are either of these sports real?? If so, what are they called, where are they played, and how popular are they?

I just watched Dragon Lord today and wondered this, too, so I looked it up.

The first is bun-snatching (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheung_Chau_Bun_Festival#Bun_snatching), which is not a sport but rather the highlight of the Cheung Chau Bun Festival in Hong Kong. Apparently it's been going on since the 18th century.

The second is a real sport called jianzi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jianzi) and dates back to 5th century BC China.
