locker room scene

you know the scne where they are lined up and their showing their penises to rick and doug yeah so what was the point of that scene

reply

just boys being boys

reply

Yeah, but nowadays, I wouldn't see that happening. They may talk about sexual things but I don't they would flop out there "tools" as the movie calls it. Nowadays people would think that's "gay" and I didn't live when this movie was set so I don't know if they would have really done something like that back then.

It is gay. They had a peep hole to the girl's shower where nude girls were, but instead they measure each others penises?

its all about balls...

that was awesome! i think measuring everybody was pretty strange but the nerd being the *hung* guy, truly awesome. I'm pretty sure the point of it was just to show up rick and those 2 dumbazzez he hung out with. As an adult 30-something woman and 80's teen, i can say i LOVE nerdy, book-smart guys :)

Better him than the fat kid with the cute face who was just a pompous, annoying overbearing idiot.

reply

Simple, whoever has the biggest tool, gets to take home the pool.(show me the money)

reply

I remember seeing this movie as a kid back in the 1980's, and even then I thought it was pretty gay, especially for the two guys sitting there having to measure everyone's penis. I couldn't imagine having a long line of guys each pulling out their junk right in front of your face to measure it. Yeah, that's gay.

reply

Saw this last night for the first time. DEFINITE sign of the times. Guys in cut-offs, watching each other have sex, locker room closeness, were sort of accepted back then. Now...not-uh. Remember in Lucas, rubbing liquid-heat onto another guy's balls? No way would that be done now. The Fast Times locker room fight, one guy in a towel. Not today.

But this schlong-measuring thing seemed like the only point in this film that it lapsed into slapstick. Actually sticking a measuring tape *against* a guy's wayner is beyond g-a-y.

reply

yeah - very gay, that's why i loved it..

Well I think what you might be referring to is that the movie is a remake from the Isralian film (Lemon Popsicle?)

If you are going off of rumors that it was made earlier but just wasn't released until 2 years later, I am not sure.

No, that main character, guy who plays Gary, his IMDb page says VIRGIN was filmed two years before release. Which I can understand is not true, if it's not true.

I am from Tennessee and during school when I was in the locker room there was always a dude bragging about the size of his tool, which would then lead to someone else saying theirs was bigger, so eventually it would come down to both of them, sometimes more, whipping out.

everything is so gay now. the word gay is so gay. time for a new word. that is so black!

When I was in high school, none of the guys or me had the "balls" to talk about that. In my town, no one wants to know or see. LOL

gratuitous nudity was the purpose. For some reason all the 80s teen flicks would show male buttocks. It was all the rage back then. Guys thought it was funny and girls...well I'm not sure what they thought but I do remember seeing Johnny Depps butt in some flick called Hot Resort. Just chalk it up to another weird '80s quirk along with bandanas, mulletts, and Molly Ringwald.

You can't go on blaming yourself forever. Just blame yourself once, then move on.

reply

Back to the original poster stuff about this, the fruity-ass Baby Boomers, Feminazis, and other politically correct fascists produced a lot of fearful boys in the area of locker room nudity. Even the gayest kid wouldn't be caught dead doing something like this nowadays.

I was a teen in the 80s too and it was totally normal for guys to do stuff like that. Maybe not as organized as everyone in the lockerrom but the guys I knew were obsessed with their dicks and pulled them out every chance they got, to pee on things, to shock the girls, to compare sizes. Now everyone is so scared of being gay b/c it's been shoved down our throats for so long that this simple, campy behavior has been squelched b/c of fear.

Bullshiet kmc...I never saw a scene so blaintantly ridiculous next to real life...guys are naturally self-conscious about that sort of thing at that age, at least at the high school I went to...guys would never show other guys their tools deliberately in the locker room nor so much as get caught looking at another man's tool unless you were asking to get your azz kicked.

reply

To pee on things? Things like what? Would they pee on each other in the locker room? Cuz this was a phenomenon of my wrestling team, apparently.

"Mr. Bond, you defy all my attempts to plan an amusing death for you."

reply

Pretty outrageous.

I wonder if The Last American Virgin and Lemon Popsicle are the only movies in history to contain a penis measuring contest scene?

reply

Actually, in the Verhoeven film Spetters, released in 1980 - two years before TLAV, there's a scene in which three guys do the battle royale, full frontal and direct to the camera. They even "work it up" before hitting the ruler....

reply

Needless to say, Victor was never harassed by any of his lockermates ever again.

reply

Too gay.

This scene is almost frame for frame duplicate of same scene in אסקימו לימון‎
