Death on set

Is it true true that the director\star H.B Haliki was killed during the making of this film?

No. Halicki died in a botched stunt on the set of "Gone in 60 Seconds 2" IMDB states that this happened in 1989. However, he did have at least one brush with death while making "The Junkman", one of the stunt planes got too close to his car and the wing went through the windsheild and nearly took his head off.

this is what i obtained from USA Union on how he died..."1989 Tobi Halicki (director) Film: "Gone in 60 Seconds II". Circumstances: falling water tower special effect." website is http://hd24.com/usa_union_heli_safety.htm

There was a climactic scene where a runaway truck was supposed to hit a water tower and bring it down.
The crew lost control of the tower and it went down unexpectedly, it snagged a power pole and a guy wire whipped out and snapped Halicki's neck as he was running for safety. He never saw it coming.
R.I.P. Toby Halicki.

Don't vote, it only encourages the bastards.

yeah and IMDB still refuses to let me add Gone in 60 Seconds 2 because they call the Junkman Gone in 60 Seconds 2. o_O oh well.
