Treat Williams as Jack Dempsey...

I thought Treat Williams was great as Jack Dempsey. He did an excellent job playing the part and with the boxing. Treat even looks like Dempsey quite a bit in my opinion. The casting director certainly made the right (and probably the best) choice casting Treat Williams as Jack Dempsey. A great portrayal, and Dempsey was an overall great movie as well.
