Truly Terrible

I saw this disaster when it first came out in '82, but had forgotten
how truly awful this film is until I saw it on Youtube tonight.

First of all, the "new" sequences are worse than any old clip that is
shown. Candy, Radner, Ackroyd and those two idiots, Cheech and Chong,
are beyond embarrassing. Only developmentally disabled 12 year-olds
would laugh at their "gags." Yet despite how bad Cheech and Chong
are (only the truly moronic would laugh at their stuff), Ackroyd takes
the cake with his stupid brain intro.

Fairly ironic their poking fun at Ed Wood and such, considering SNL
members are responsible for the worst films ever made.

I would say that most SNL alumni made good films.
Maybe you're talking about SNL sketches that were made into films? Most of those were horrible.
But of the stars of It Came From Hollywood - they all had successful film careers.
