Help me find this please!!!

I'm a gigantic WWII guy. I've interviewed veterans, both Grandparents were in it, & Albert Speer like to so many others is an extremely enigmatic of the top Nazi Leaders. I own & have read all of the both the significant & those not as well. I really enjoyed "Hitler and Er" the German version of Speers life. I would love to see this and/or buy it for my collection. If you can help I would be extremely grateful & if you have a paypal account & you will sell me a copy for $5 to I thank you in advance.

Greetings Drew23,

I am surprised that no one has responded to your inquiry. If you go to Google and enter "Inside the Third Reich" and then scroll down to 'Rarity Movies Etc.' you will find a DVD copy of the originally aired ABC-television copy of the film.

The film is definitely based on Speer's memoirs since the only historical reference to Speer wearing the Reichsfeuher's Dinner Jacket is mentioned in his book (and the movie). I was only a child when I saw this film on ABC television in the early 80's.

It is certainly a "must have" for the serious collector and student of WWII. Actually, the movie makes much more sense if you read Albert Speer's 'Inside the Third Reich', otherwise much of the 'backdrop' of the film and its inside information is lost.

Hope this info has helped,
Opie

Thanks for the response! I thought I'd never get an answer. I don't think it's on DVD however & if it is It probably isn't legit. I've found it on VHS but I got rid of mine a few years ago.
I've read all 3 books written by Speer & just about every book written about him as well. My favorite being Gitta Sereny's "Albert Speer: His Battle With Truth." It's an absolutely brilliantly written
book & she has such unprecedented access to Speer towards the end of his life. In fact it wasn't even published till years (if I remember correctly) after he died. The other books written about him that I've read are as follows.
"Albert Speer: The End of the Myth" Easily the weakest book I've read. In fact I would skip it altogether as there isn't any sort of new information. In fact it's just a rehash that isn't even done well.
"The Good Nazi" by Dan Van Der Vat Probably the 2nd best to Sereny's book. What I liked most about it was that it was the 1st book written about him w/out any sort of Twisted Truth by Speer himself.
"Speer: The Final Verdict" by Joachim Fest is also an excellent book as he was officially Albert Speer's biographer & he is one of the Top 2 in the world (the other being Ian Kershaw because he wrote the best biography ever written
about Hitler his 2 volumes on the Dictator is absolutely brilliant & unbelieveably researched) in his knowledge of Hitler & his closest confidants. It too is an excellent book.

I realize that's probably WAY more information you'd want to hear. I get a little carried away when it concerns Speer. I find him the most interesting of those in Hitler's Inner Circle.

Thanks again,
Cheers!
Drew
