Honey

I saw this movie some twenty years ago and one of the few things I remember, besides that Armande Assante was in it, is that in one scene Hammer takes a full glass of honey out of the file cabinet and takes a gulp. Just like that! He drinks from a full glass of honey!

Oh, and I only knew it was Assante because a short while before they showed his Napoleon stuff on Tv, and soon after "Private Benjamin", which was one of my moms favorites.

Honey! Gross.

He was very good in this film I think.

Don't read the book, go see the film.

Hi! the movie's dialog says Hammer used the honey as a way of staying off the booze, I believe "honey everyday, keeps the Bourbon away" is the line; seems perfectly reasonable to me!

I like a spoon of honey myself, regularly - but can you even imagine the unholy mess it would make to try to take a drink out of a jar?

Honey truly is the nectar of the gods, and has remarkable qualities besides the divine taste, including antibacterial action (which is partly responsible for how it can be stored at room temperature for long periods of time, even after opening, without harm).

And it never spoils. Like EVER.

Jars of honey were found in ancient Egyptian tombs. Still edible after 3 thousand years.
