Underrated

Not exciting enough, or funny enough, for audiences, I guess, but this is fun and touching, to me.

I found it quite touching as well, especially when Libby mourns her grandmother and provides her updates about her life at her grave. Dinah Manoff is terrific here, and it's too bad that she didn't become a bigger star and that this film didn't get the recognition it deserved.

That song One Hello I think played over the end credits. It had me in tears. Mr. Matthau and Ms. Manoff had terrific bittersweet chemistry that was totally believable.

Yeah, great song, great ending, underrated film.

Not sure why I haven't seen it before this. I somehow missed it in the theaters in 1982. It was so good. I'm not a big Walter Matthau fan. He's good, but just seems like the "Grumpy Old Man" he played in that other movie with Ann-Margaret. Watched it because I love Ann-Margaret. They were all great in this. Especially Dinah Manoff (who I had only seen in Grease and Empty Nest) and Walter. It made me cry. Such a sweet movie.
